Earlier this month I got me a subscription to Scentbird Perfume and got my first cologne from them, English Laundry’s Oxford Bleu. If you would like to check them out and possibly try them just follow this link . Typically I have been a Polo kind of guy when the situation warranted it, but I thought I am upping my game in my clothes I should also pay attention to my scent.
The day I got the package in the mail I was rather excited. My girlfriend was at work and was pretty much all alone to experiment with things. So I opened up the package and checked it out. At first I was a little concerned that it came in a bubble wrap package rather than a little box but all was good. It came in a hard carrying container so you can have it with you in your pocket when you need a respray during the day. The container twists like you would a lipstick to get the actual cologne to come up. Spray what you need, twist again, and all protected.
Now for the fun. I hit myself with a couple sprays and sat back for the show. The top notes are strong, minty, and with a quick blast of apple. I really like that mint and apple top note. Sadly the top notes wear off oh to quickly leaving you with a clean linen and powdery fresh scent which is very pleasant. Later on as the scent develops you can begin to pick up on vanilla and flowery undertones.
I find this to be a very nice and clean scent. I haven’t gotten any compliments yet but I also don’t drown myself in the stuff either so it isn’t like I am leaving a massive scent trail behind me. For me though it is like a little bit of aromatherapy at work, I get upset or agitated take a whiff. It works don’t knock it.
Seriously though cologne can become rather expensive but now that I am starting to enjoy experimenting with it I have found that Scentbird is something of a godsend. With them you can get a vial that has approximately .27 oz in it which is worth about a good 100 sprays or more for 14.95 at the lowest subscription rate. There are two more rates to look at which give you even better deals. So it is honestly a rather cheap monthly subscription for the ability to test run a scent that you would like to try out. They have a large selection of men’s and women’s cologne and perfumes to choose from so if you get the middle subscription which is 2/month for 25.00 you can get one for yourself and one for your lady. Hmmm wouldn’t that be nice? So just follow the link below and enjoy yourself, I know I am. Scentbird
Or you can also follow the link here to get a larger bottle on Amazon English Laundry Oxford Bleu Eau de Parfum, 3.4 fl. oz. or English Laundry Oxford Bleu Eau de Parfum, 6.8 fl.oz.
or a smaller version English Laundry Oxford Bleu Eau de Parfum, 0.68 oz.
. It is well worth the price I think.
