The whole world is burning,
our age is crashing down.
Everything that is known
has left, or is leaving.
What was once good or pure,
that innocence is lost.
Lost, as all mankind raced
headlong. A dying ember.

I love the ending…the last line “a dying ember” is the perfect summary of the poem. Beautifully haunting Aaron.

Glad you enjoyed it. When I wrote that final line it was like a slap in the face, because many times I write things out in a fury lol. I just sat there and said wow lol.
