All night long the rain does fall,
thunder booming, lightning cracking.
Wind is whipping blowing all
the trees to the ground, snapping.
The streets are a river
loaded with floating debris,
cars under water
and floating away free.
Mother nature is such a beast.
Slow in her anger then violent
in her wrath. At the very least
we can weather what was sent.
Though we suffer loss of power,
loss of services, and general chaos,
none have died. Now our
lives can continue, more or less.
